1. Introduction

This ADK wax is a very ideal neutral paper sizing agent, it can be used as pulp sizing and surface sizing to make the paper have excellent water resistance. When using this ADK wax, it should be heated to melt, and then mixed with the starch emulsifying agent and protective agent, until the agent emulsify into stable latex

3. Application of Alkyl Ketene Dimer 

As a kind of reactive neutral paper sizing agent, mainly used for copper base paper, copy paper, file paper, paper dictionary and quality writing paper paper in sizing. The pH value can reach about 8, which is called basic sizing, which is widely used at home and abroad. This product can also be used as surface sizing agent.

5. Application

AKD wax and AKD emulsifier mix as per ratio. Add zirconium oxychloride and water. 

According to processing equipments and the condition of procedures, it is better to produce 3 tons every time, and emulsifying is divide into two times,  go through twice from homogenizer.

Put them into the emulsion kettle, high-speed shear for 3-5 minutes (better less than 8 minutes). （If produce AKD surface sizing agent, add curing agent Polydadamac here.）

AKD is an alkyl ketene dimer based sizing agent, which impacts paper and board hydrophobicity or water resistance.  Sufficient hydrophobicity is important for packaging materials and it improves paper or board runnability in a coating process.  Water resistance also improves printability and dimension stability of the final product during the converting process.

25kg/500kg net weight in plastic woven bags
Store in cool, dry and ventilated place, avoid high temperature and solarization, and prevent from dampness.  The store temperature should not be higher than 35°C, keep ventilated.
